Lets Dance!

Lights! Camera! Action!

The Miami Dolphins and Jason Taylor have performed a dance not normally seen on Taylor’s Dancing with the Stars. A tap dance!

Both partners in this never-ending, routine have shown a great flair for the dramatic as the dance floor that is the Dolphins training facility lies in wait, wondering if the familiar
No. 99 jersey will be hung in it’s locker room come June.

It is a fairly simple process to illustrate yourself as the hard working, team oriented athlete, while the big bad wolf that is a football conglomerate only has their best interest in mind. One thing for Dol-fans to keep in mind is that in this game of cat and mouse, both parties are only out for their best interests. It is simple for the organization to tell their devotees that they are trying to put a winner on the field, when the reality of the matter shows a 1-15 record. Conversely, it is an undemanding feat for Taylor, to be a martyr for the team, stating that he is a Dolphin unless he is traded.

Jason, you can not have it both ways!

You can not be a willing victim all while politely asking to play for a winner. Taylor says, ``I'm playing ball in `08. If [a trade] doesn't work out, then I'm a Miami Dolphin. I love this place. I love Miami. I love the fans. I love everything about it. If it doesn't work out, then I'm here.'' For those of you not familiar with the styling of a team of Hollywood writers, that basically gets decoded to mean he wants to play somewhere else , but in case that doesn’t happen he still needs the support of the team, and fans he no longer wants to play in front of.

Now don’t get me wrong, Jason Taylor has been a wonderful Miami Dolphin; almost to a fault. However, those years of service do not get you a free pass to make the decisions of your employers. You willingly signed on the dotted line and for a person who so freely condemned Ricky Williams for abandoning the team, don’t be in such a hurry to chase those Hollywood spotlights.

It is easy to point out abandonment when you are not the one who is abandoning.

All things considered, both partners have contributed to the theatre we are now witness too, and yet one question remains! Are the lights brighter in another stadium, or even in Hollywood?

If you would like to find out Jason, be our guest!
